According to a survey conducted in Japan in July 2023, a combined 43.9 percent of respondents felt that barrier-free transportation of railroad stations has progressed at least to a certain extent. The share of respondents that thought that there was no or almost no progress in that regard amounted to roughly 27.4 percent.
