In May 2024, the average consumer price for a pack of 100 teabags in Israel was 16.84 Israeli shekels (about 4.64 U.S. dollars). This represented a slight decrease of less than one percent from the previous month. Between October and November 2023, the retail price for tea saw a sharp increase of 7.5 percent. This coincided with the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023. Since 2022, the country has experienced a period of relatively high inflation.
