In 2019, the majority of healthcare professionals surveyed in Portugal disagreed with the statements that AI would make medical professionals redundant and that some medical specialists would be replaced by AI tools in the future. Meanwhile, more than half of healthcare professionals agreed that Intelligent data extraction and processing via AI tools could improve the quality of healthcare delivery, both in general and in their field.
