Survey: Right-wing extremist attitudes in Germany

In 2023, a survey was conducted on attitudes towards various right-wing statements within German society. The statement “If jobs become scarce, foreigners should be sent back to their countries” had the highest level of agreement, with around 25 percent of respondents agreeing with the statement that foreign people should have to leave the country if there were a shortage of jobs. Among respondents from East Germany, 35 percent agreed with this statement.
