Most used e-commerce payment methods in Malaysia 2020-2027

In 2023, account-to-account (A2A) was the most popular payment method for e-commerce in Malaysia, accounting for an estimated 39 percent market share of e-commerce payment methods. Meanwhile, digital wallet is gaining in popularity, and it was forecasted to have around 27 percent market share. Malaysia is regarded as a fast growing market for mobile payments, as it is starting to catch up to other Southeast Asian countries when it comes to mobile commerce. Two of the main mobile wallets are forecast to see their user count double between 2020 and 2025.
