According to a 2023 survey carried out in a selection of six Latin American countries, the leading purchase channel for medication among respondents is local pharmacies, with approximately nine in ten interviewees having purchased a medication within the year prior to the survey. The use of local retail stores and online options saw a greater variation between countries. While eight percent of Brazilian respondents made use of retail stores, this figure amounted to 34 percent in Colombia.
