In the first five months of 2023, over 15,000 vehicles were stolen in Israel. Comparatively, during the entire year of 2022, over 16,000 automobiles were stolen. This indicates that the number of car thefts by the end of 2023 was significantly higher. Between 2020 and 2022, auto thefts in the country increased by 36.5 percent per year on average.
