Under the SPP1-2.6 low emission scenario the mean projected area affected in India reaches almost 3270 square kilometers at the end of the century, relative to the historic baseline. Similar figures are seen under the SPP2-4.5 intermediate emission scenario with an affected area of just over 3964 square kilometers at the same time frame.
