PicPay, a Brazilian digital payments platform, saw its user base increase rapidly between 2020 and 2023. In the last quarter of 2023, the number of PicPay's active customers was 35 million, up from 32 million just a year earlier. PicPay utilizes Pix, a payment system created by the Central Bank of Brazil for instant payments, which is used by over 143 million people in the country.
