Share of people who support local businesses in Germany 2023, by generation

In 2023, around 50 percent of 65 to 79-year-olds in Germany said that they supported local businesses. Comparatively, there was less support for local businesses among younger generations. One theory to explain this could be that often local businesses are a little more pricey than the likes of Amazon, and typically younger generations have less spending power.
