According to a global survey conducted in 2024 on AI adoption in advertising and marketing practices, over 70 percent of respondents in India believed that brands should disclose if an ad has been created using AI, especially if it uses a virtual ambassador. Ads that used AI to generate product images were the next highest-voted circumstance where Indian consumers demanded transparency. Overall, most Indian consumers seemed comfortable encountering AI-generated ads.
