Economic contribution of private credit in the U.S. economy 2022
The private credit in 2022 contributed to the United States economy with 1.6 million jobs, 137 billion U.S. dollars of wages and benefits and 224 billion U.S. dollars of gross domestic product (GDP).
Companies directly receiving private credit generated the most wages and benefits earnings with 57 billion U.S. dollars and contributed the most to the United States' GDP with 90 billion U.S. dollars.
Consumer spending of workers attributable to private credit supported the largest number of employment, with 645,000 jobs.
