According to data gathered in the week starting May 13th, 2024, when an AI-written answer was provided by Google upon searching for news-related terms, the first search result dropped by an average of 980 pixels (equivalent to one page scroll). The data was gathered using over 3,000 search terms which drive the most traffic to sites specified by five leading UK publishers along with an Australian publisher.
