SVoD subscribers in India 2020-2026, by type

In 2023, there were approximately 143 million subscribers to local subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) services in India.  Subscribers to global SVoD platforms were far fewer in comparison. While forecasts for 2026 suggest the continued growth of both local and global SVoD subscribers in India, the former is expected to still outweigh the latter.
