In 2023, the number of Jewish immigrants that entered Israel, and naturalized under the Law of Return, reached just over 42,700 people. This figure was down from the previous year's peak of just over 70,000 new migrants. Jewish immigration into Israel increased significantly in 2022 due to theinflux of Russian and Ukrainian citizens escaping war following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This event is reminiscent of a major wave of Jewish immigration between the early 1990s and early 2000s following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Law of Return recognizes the right of Jewish decedents to gain citizenship in Israel. This type of immigration is also known as making aliyah.
Figures comprise Jews who changed status from 'tourist' to 'immigrant', as well as those who entered Israel with an immigrant visa or a potential immigrant visa.
