As of January 2025, K-pop group BTS was the most followed K-pop artist on Twitter with around 48.6 million followers, far ahead of other K-pop acts. Boy group TXT, under the same label as BTS, came in second at about 15 million followers. A second account of theirs, which focuses on releasing official news rather than tweets from the members, was also among the most followed accounts, with 11.2 million followers. The majority of most followed K-pop acts were official group accounts, with only one individual artist, BamBam of GOT7, represented.
