Solid biofuels and renewable waste energy capacity in Cuba 2014-2023
In 2023, Cuba's capacity for solid biofuels and waste energy surpassed 951 megawatts, representing a significant growth from 2014, when the capacity was 498 megawatts. Bagasse, a fibrous byproduct of crushed sugarcane stalks, accounted for the majority of this, with a capacity of 950 megawatts.
