In a global survey taken in March 2024, it was found that the main reason for individuals to watch the Olympic Games was to enjoy the spectacle and excitement of the event. In total, 52 percent of respondents cited that as a reason for watching the event. Meanwhile, 46 percent of respondents said they watched the Games so they could support their country's athletes and national pride.
