Get in touch with us nowIn 2023, the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) enacted 395 legal proceedings for monitoring transparency in tendering processes and for the prevention of corruption in the Italian public administration. Hence, a decrease by around ten percent was recorded compared to 2022 when almost 450 actions were promoted. In particular, surveillance on transparency significantly declined by 15 percent compared to the previous year, while the variation for surveillance on corruption prevention was less than ten percent. After a proper inquiry, in 2023 ANAC issued 107 sanctions, 61 related to the lack of transparency in the financial statements and 46 for the omitted implementation of local anti-corruption plans, almost 30 percent more compared to 2022, when only 84 disciplinary actions were issued.
