Financial inclusion in West Africa 2021, by selected countries
As of 2021, Niger had one of the lowest levels of financial inclusion in West Africa, at 14 percent. On the other hand, Togo and Benin registered some of the highest shares of the population using financial services in the region. According to the source, the overall financial inclusion of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) stood at 67 percent in the said year.
