Preference to leave or stay in Israel as reported by Jews and Arabs 2015-2023
As of November 2023, the share of Jewish citizens in Israel who prefer to remain in the country rather than emigrate, increased to 80.5 percent. This represents the highest level since 2019. In comparison, only 59 percent of Arab citizens said they preferred to live in the country. The desire to remain among the Arab community in Israel has continually decreased since 2019. Following the Israel-Hamas war, which started on October 7th, 2023, the topic of emigration became more prominent.
