Prevalence of anemia among men worldwide in 1990 and 2021

In 1990, it was estimated that around 15.9 percent of men worldwide suffered from anemia. By 2021, this estimate had deceased to 11.3 percent. Anemia is a condition in which a person does not have enough healthy red cells to effectively carry oxygen throughout the body. There are many different types of anemia including iron deficiency anemia, megaloblastic anemia, and hemolytic anemia.
