According to a 2024 survey, Americans were politically divided when it came to which long-range foreign policy goals they prioritized. Climate change had the largest partisan gap by a significant margin, with 70 percent of Democrats and Democrat-leaners ranking it as a top priority, compared to 15 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaners.
