Annual revenue of Visa 2009-2023
Visa's annual revenue increased by over 10 percent in 2023, although the growth figure nearly decreased by half when compared to the previous year. The San Francisco-based card network reported later, in early 2024, that the financial figures were accompanied by an overall deceleration of payment volume growth in the United States. It blamed weather conditions as the culprit for those results. That said, the company was relatively positive due to growth in cross-border volume and stable performances elsewhere.
