The European Union (EU) imported goods worth approximately 9.74 billion euros from Russia in the first quarter of 2024, having significantly decreased the import value over the past year. The import value in the fourth quarter of 2024 was the lowest over the observed period from 2020. The highest figure was recorded at nearly 65 billion euros in the first quarter of 2022. Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, economic relations between Russia and the EU have been restricted.
