In 2023, Ford was the estimated leader of the global pickup truck market, selling over one million of these vehicles across the globe. Chevrolet and Toyota were second and third in the ranking, but did not reach that one million threshold.

The Pickup Trucks segment includes mini, mid-size, full-size, and heavy-duty pickup trucks which have an enclosed cabin in the front and an open cargo area in the back. Sales of pickups of all uses (e.g., campers, police vehicles) are included. All key figures shown represent the sales of new pickup trucks in the basic configuration in the respective year. Used vehicles are not taken into account, nor is adapted equipment for the new cars sold. The prices and revenues shown as well as the distribution of connectivity, drive types, autonomy levels, and average CO2 emissions are accordingly based on the basic models.
