Remittances between United States and Mexico were noticeably more expensive when using credit card transfers than other payment instruments available. This is according to a Statista estimate that aims to compare the prices charged for sending international money transfers to Mexico, but then specifically sent from United States. Remitting from United States towards Mexico using credit cards incurred an average cost of roughly 6.2 percent over the course of 2023.
