In September 2023, the country with the highest food price inflation compared to the same month of the previous year in Latin America and the Caribbean was Venezuela, with an inflation rate of 318.09 percent. Ranking second was Argentina, with 150.13 percent. In contrast, Costa Rica was the only country in the region where the inflation rate decreased by three percent.
