In the 2024 general elections in India, the share of seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was 55 percent in the seventh phase, an increase compared to the first phase. On the other hand, Congress had secured about 26 percent of seats in the first phase but dropped to 16 percent by the final phase. Other parties won more than 50 percent of seats in three different phases of the 2024 general elections.
