The center-right EPP grouping are set to win the most seats in the 2024 European Parliament elections, with a provisional 186 seats of 720 seats won, followed by the center-left S&D grouping at 135 seats. Although centrist parties broadly held their ground against anti-establishment movements, right-wing populist movements achieved key victories in certain countries. In France, the far-right National Rally party, associated with the Identity and Democracy group, won the most seats in the country at 30, while in Italy, the right-wing ECR group won 24 out of 76 seats.
