European Union Parliamentary Election preliminary results in France 2024
According to preliminary results, the far-right party National Rally, led by Jordan Bardella, members of the Identity & Democracy group, won a plurality of the votes in France's European Union parliamentary elections, and obtained at least 30 seats according to the first results. That meant a gain of 12 more seats when compared to the 2019 elections. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Macron's party faced an important defeat, indeed Macron's European Party Grouping, Renew Europe, led by Valérie Hayer were only able to secure 13 seats in the Parliament, a loss of at least 10 seats when compared to 2019.
