According to the results of a survey fielded in Mexico in 2023, respondents mainly subscribed to SVOD services because they wanted to access specific content only available there. Similar share of survey participants (around 44 percent) also subscribed to see originals and exclusive series and movies. For 35.5 percent of Mexicans ad-free viewing was a good enough reason to sign-up to an SVOD platform.
