In 2024, 90 percent of the estimated semiconductor manufacturing capacity of TSMC was located in Taiwan. By 2027, it was projected that the would have decreased by three percentage points. However, on the background of increasing tensions between the United States and the PRC, all leading foundries in the regions plan to diversify the regional distribution of their production.
