Note: A mental health need is when a respondent states that they have had mental health counseling or therapy, or that they were told by a doctor that they have depression, anxiety, or another mental health issue during the last year.

Social need: The respondent states that in the past year, they were always or usually worried about at least one of the following: having enough food, having enough cash for rent or a mortgage, having a clean and safe place to sleep, and having a reliable job or source of income.
