Financial inclusion rate Egypt 2016-2023

In 2023, the financial inclusion rate in Egypt continued its upward trajectory, reaching 70.7 percent of the population 16 years and older. This was 43 percentage points higher compared to eight years prior, when around 27 percent of the adult population in the country had an account in a bank, Egypt Post, mobile wallet, or a prepaid card. In 2023, 46.9 million adults in the country owned a transaction account.
