Between 2019 and 2022, Brazil accounted for a 66 percent share of the United States' imports of ferroniobium and niobium metal. Brazil also accounted for a 76 percent share of niobium oxide imports to the U.S. during that timeframe. Meanwhile, Australia was the largest source of niobium and tantalum ores and concentrates imports to the U.S. during those years, accounting for over 50 percent.
