Opinion on the responsibility for eliminating textile waste Australia 2024, by state
In a survey conducted in Australia in March 2024 regarding the environmental impacts of clothing and textiles, over 67 percent of respondents in each state indicated that they believed businesses had a responsibility for eliminating textile waste. In comparison, over 40 percent of those surveyed in each state believed that individual consumers also bore responsibility for the country's textile waste crisis and taking measures to ethically and sustainably consume clothing.
