In a survey conducted in Australia in March 2024 regarding the environmental impacts of clothing and textiles, around 71 percent of respondents indicated that they believed businesses had a responsibility for eliminating textile waste. In comparison, around 43 percent of those surveyed believed that individual consumers also bore responsibility for the country's textile waste crisis and taking measures to ethically and sustainably consume clothing.
