A survey conducted in Great Britain in March 2023 revealed that the majorty (46 percent) of adults kept their physical books on a bookshelf after they had finished reading. Giving the book away or donating it to charity were the second and third most popular actions taken, whereas only a fraction threw the book away or sold it.
