According to a May 2024 survey, nearly one-third of Americans considered the hush-money case against Donald Trump very serious. The Manhattan case was the first of four criminal trials the former president is set to face this year.
On May 30, Donald Trump was convicted on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records that could have compromised his 2016 presidential campaign. While his conviction may thwart his reelection efforts, he remains eligible to run.
