Prescriptions of cannabinoid-containing medicinal products in Germany, by product

In 2022, the number of prescriptions for cannabinoid-containing medicines under the German statuary health insurance (SHI) system totaled 393,187. Cannabinoid-containing substances in finished medicinal products and preparations accounted for the largest share with around 128,781 medical prescriptions, making up just under 33 percent of the total.
