Between 2010 and 2022, the prevalence of overweight and obesity among male and female adults in Ecuador saw an overall increasing trend. However, the share of men within this category increased at a higher rate, with the gap between the two groups closing from close to 11 percentage points in 2010 to around six percentage points in 2022.
