A 2024 survey carried out in the United States showed that consumers aged over 50 years old tend to dislike AI-powered customer service. 50 percent of shoppers aged 50 to 54 years old stated that using AI chatbots for customer support instead of humans could negatively impact their perception of a brand or retailer. In turn, only 30 percent of shoppers aged 18 to 24 years old had the same opinion.
