Germany was the biggest donor to biodiversity, with an average of 1.7 billion U.S. dollars spent each year between 2015 and 2020. France followed closely, with an average of 1.4 billion U.S. dollars spent in the same time frame. However, the biggest contributor relative to their economy size was Norway with 0.90 U.S. dollars spent for every 1,000 U.S. dollars of GDP.
