In 2023, funding raised by male-led start-ups in Africa dropped to 93 percent from 96 percent in the year prior. Although start-up companies run by female CEOs had significantly less funding, they have made some progress. In the same year, an increase of three percent was recorded, up from four percent recorded in 2022.
