Unfair healthcare treatment received by Black women in the U.S. 2023, by income
As of 2023, almost a quarter of Black women in the United States with a household income between 40 and 90 thousand U.S. Dollars reported to have been treated unfairly or with disrespect by a health care provider or staff in the last three years because of their racial background. Furthermore, 21 percent of those with a household income below 40 thousand U.S. Dollars also experienced unfair or disrespectful treatment in healthcare settings in the last three years.
