The prevalence of undernourishment is projected to be lower in a towards sustainability-scenario than in the other two scenarios. In Sub-Saharan Africa, for instance, less than three percent of the population is estimated to be undernourished in such a scenario in 2030, compared to 25 percent in a stratified societies-scenario.
