GDP per capita disparity index in Portugal 2022, by region
In 2022, Portugal presented pronounced asymmetries in the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita among regions. The metropolitan area of Lisbon was the region with the highest GDP per capita disparity index, namely almost 130 percent. The Algarve also presented a regional GDP per capita which was superior to the national average, with 114 percent. On the other hand, Norte had a GDP per capita inferior to the national average with 85.6 percent.
