According to a March 2024 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, the majority of Malaysian respondents of all age groups said that they have not used a shared mobility services such as ride-hailing, car-pooling, and bike-sharing because they preferred to use their own vehicles. Meanwhile, 44 percent of respondents between 16 and 24 years old said these services were not available in their area.
