According to a March 2024 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, the majority of Malaysia respondents of all age groups have used a shared mobility services such as ride-hailing, car-pooling, and bike-sharing because they were convenient and reliable. By comparison, 32 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 years said they used these services because they did not own a car.
